Volunteer with The Family Effect

Have you been looking for a place where pursuing your passion makes a difference? Do you desire to make being a positive force in your community?
Then look no further! The Family Effect may just be the place for you. Because The Family Effect is multi-faceted, there are various volunteer opportunities. It is important to The Family Effect that our volunteers enjoy the time that they donate to us and to our clients. We enjoy plugging them into areas that not only help the community, but allow them to use their passions to do so.
We have had volunteers put together gift baskets for our clients for various holidays, serve in many capacities at events, clean homes, paint murals for their senior project, assist with child care and so much more. 
The work that The Family Effect does would truly not be possible without out amazing volunteers! So, please join us in our vision of inspiring hope, healing families and eliminating addiction. 
The items listed below are ongoing opportunities and also those that are on a special occasion basis. We have had many groups and individuals approach us with an idea of something that they feel passionate about doing with and for our clients and organization. In these cases, if the idea is something our clients and organization would benefit from,  we love to work with our volunteers to see how we can make it happen.

Childcare at Serenity Place

Nothing is more special than holding babies or getting to experience the creativity of kids through childcare. Each evening, the mothers of Serenity Place have groups to help in the recovery journey. To allow the mothers to be fully present in these sessions, the little ones go to childcare. But, we need volunteers to make sure we have plenty of people to help keep an eye on and play with the kids.

The Family Effect is always having lots of fun events that we couldn't do without our volunteers. We always need help with our annual Transformation Breakfast, the Phoenix Center's Rally for Recovery and then lots of other fun events throughout the year.

Would you like to provide a meal for some of the clients currently on Phoenix Center Programs? Please let us know!

Is there an event you would like to host for our clients? Maybe a game night with our adults at residential services? Or maybe a spa night for the women of Serenity Place? Or is there another event that you would love to share with the programs at the Phoenix Center?

It is always a big help when groups or individuals come out to Serenity Village to help with Spring cleaning. That fresh coat of paint, new door mat or a freshly scrubbed porch can make a huge difference for the clients living in the villas.

Do you have a gift and passion for music? Would you like to share this special skill with others? The Family Effect would love for you or your group to come out and host a music night for our clients. A music night is not only a wonderful time, but a great way to boost morale. So whether you would like to play for our clients or come out to do a music workshop for clients, we would love to have you.

The Family Effect is so excited when volunteers want to help us with gift baskets and special treats for our clients- especially around the holidays or for special occasions. We have had groups host item drives and then put those items together for Mother's Day baskets, Valentine's Day treats and so much more. Holiday toy drives are always so special and very much appreciated.

We have volunteers that come and volunteer their time to lead Bible studies and group studies for interested clients. If this is something that you would be interested in assisting with, we would love to connect!

The Family Effect has had so many creative volunteers that have suggested amazing ideas. So, if you have any ideas for a project or event that you would like to volunteer your time for, please contact us. We would love to hear all about it!
